Set In Stone
I built a brick wall over it. never to be seen or heard from again. i wanted to hide it from the world. but sometimes the monsoon air would seep through the cracks and reawaken it to taste that bittersweet nectar. flames began to melt the seal and life filled that space i wanted to shut out from the world. my heart and mind forgot that bitter taste of heartbreak; only the flutter of butterflies the smell of crisp breeze. that feeling of love. that feeling i’ve tried so hard to keep away from for years. love was once joyous. bigger than myself. amazing emotionally euphoric feeling. eventually the cart on the rollercoaster has to speed down the incline.i keep a brick wall around my heart. only allowing some feeling to get through but never fully open the latch. i have a sledgehammer.and im ready to tear down that wall.
